Youth Active Classes

Youth classes offered by the YMCA will focus on skill development, strong character, building confidence, and sportsmanship.

The YMCA offers a variety of sports for children of all ages, whether you are a beginner or have played sports for several years. Youth Sports at the YMCA allow children to learn new skills, improve existing skills, and have fun throughout the year. Sign up now and see the difference the YMCA can make!

Homeschool Gym Class

Ages 5-12

Basketball - Itty Bitty

Ages 3-5

This class will help your child learn the basics of dribbling, shooting and passing through drills, activities and skill-related games.

Ages 6-7

This class will introduce and develop your child's dribbling techniques, shooting form and the ability to make proper passes through drills and activities.

Soccer - Itty Bitty

Ages 3-5

This class introduces dribbling, shooting, passing, teamwork, sportsmanship, and having fun while learning.

Ages 6-8

This class builds on skills learned in Itty Bitty, with emphasis placed on dribbling, shooting, passing, teamwork, sportsmanship, and having fun while learning.

Ages 6-12

Join us and learn the basics of passing and shooting along with time for skill-related games.

Fit Crew

Ages 12-14

Learn how to use resistance and cardio equipment, stretch properly and eat right. You ll receive fitness certification that grants access to equipment without adult supervision.

Taekwondo offers a great way for children & adults to build confidence, self-esteem, respect, discipline, strength, flexibility and patience in team work setting. Our instructor will teach you to channel energy into a positive attitude in a fun and active atmosphere.

Ages 8-14

This class will help your child develop basic skills in strategy and game play.

Pint Size Play

Ages 18-36mo.

This class includes free play, games, music, and parachute time that stimulates cognitive development and physical and social skills. Parent and child interaction throughout the session.

Sporties for Shorties

Ages 3-6

This class develops skills like throwing, catching, kicking and more. This is a great introduction to football, soccer, gymnastics, baseball, volleyball, floor hockey and lacrosse.

Youth and Teen Beginners Racquetball

Ages 8-16

Participants in this beginner clinic learn the basic rules, positioning and strategies. A fast-paced and exciting sport for you and your friends.

Improve your skills, strategies, positioning and shot selection. Emphasis will be placed on sportsmanship and competition.

Youth Yoga

Enjoy yoga adventures in this fun class. Increase range of motion, strength and flexibility. Poses will be modified based on the ability of each student. No previous yoga experience required.

This class teaches participants about the sport of fencing, from skilled instructors with Triblade Academy. Equipment is provided, please wear comfortable gym attire.
