| The
Kalamazoo YMCA has been a part of the heart and soul of
the community for more than 140 years. We are committed
to working to build a strong, supportive community. We welcome
all regardless of family income. On an average, the Kalamazoo
Y provides over $200,000 in program and membership scholarships
to more than 2,000 individuals and families each year. This
ensures everyone has the opportunity to be part of the Y
family.
The Kalamazoo YMCA serve individuals and
families across greater Kalamazoo with program branches
in central and northern Kalamazoo and Portage along with
six before/after school child care sites and two preschool
locations.
To
support the work of the YMCA in the greater Kalamazoo area
you can donate online or stop by any branch location.

As
a former YMCA Board of Directors President, Chairperson
of the Board of Trustees and volunteer director, Norman
P. Hahn championed the YMCA mission to enhance the lives
of so many by making it possible for them to be involved
in the YMCA.
Norm
spent his time, money and expertise to expand our YMCA.
In 2005, in honor of Norm’s service and dedication,
the Strong Kids, Strong Families campaign was renamed
the Norman P. Hahn Strong Kids, Strong Families Campaign.
