THE Y FACILITIES ARE CLOSED FOR SWIM AND GYM ... BUT NOW MORE THAN EVER, BEING A Y MEMBER MEANS BEING A PART OF THE Y MOVEMENT.
AND WE NEED YOU.
Dear Y Family,
Click photo to link to video.
These are the most unprecedented times in modern American history. There are a lot of unknowns ... Some of our members may be considering canceling their memberships.
And that's understood.
But please consider what you could be doing at this time to help.
What role can you play as a Y member?
We prefer you being at the Y working out. But at this time we ask that you support us not as a consumer, but as a member of a cause-driven organization so we can respond to the needs of our community.
Not everyone can do this, but if you can, we ask that you stay with us as a member.
If you can stay with us, we'll be able to meet critical needs.
What are we doing?
- We're providing lunches and snacks to some of our most vulnerable children and families.
- We will be providing child care to essential personnel like first responders, healthcare providers, even people who are working diligently to make sure your local grocery store is stocked with food.
- We're offering online workouts and engagement opportunities which are important for our members -- young and old alike -- who depend on the Y for socialization.
- And while our facilities are closed through March 30, our board of directors has generously decided to continuing paying all our employees, especially hourly workers, who are our most vulnerable.
Your one, or two-month membership fee collectively can make the difference in so many, critical impacting ways.
THIS is why we need you to stay: Not as a consumer, but as part of the Y movement that is more than the "SWIM AND GYM" experience.
THIS is when we need you to stick with the Y.
Be healthy! And thank you for your continued support.
