Holiday Camps

Your child will continue to have fun, stay connected to their friends, and be active during our holiday camps at the Y. Activities include group games, arts and crafts, outdoor play, quiet reading, swimming, and more!

Portage Winter Break Camp - NEW!

Full day care will be offered from 7:00am to 6:00pm at the Portage Branch.

Below are the days care will be offered.
December 27, 28, and 29, 2017
January 2, 3, 4, and 5, 2018

Registration is open to children ages 6-14.

Please bring the following to camp each day:

  • Healthy morning snack, lunch, and afternoon snack
  • Water bottle (no soda please)
  • Suit and towel for swimming
  • Appropriate outdoor wear

Pre-registration for Winter Break Camp is required and can be done by filling out the registration paperwork and returning it to Don Seibert or the membership desk at the Portage Branch.

Maple Branch

Holiday camps are offered on most days that Kalamazoo Public Schools elementary schools are closed. Care is provided from 6:30am to 6:00pm at the Maple Branch.

Registration is open to elementary school-age children.

Please bring the following to camp each day:

  • Healthy morning snack and lunch (we will provide an afternoon snack)
  • Water bottle (no soda please)
  • Suit and towel for swimming
  • Appropriate outdoor wear

Pre-registration for holiday camp is required and can be done by filling out the 2017-18 Registration Paperwork (pdf) and returning it to the child care office within the Maple branch. Prime Time participants can also sign up at their Prime Time site.

Snow Days - Maple Only

In the event of a snow day, care will be offered from 6:30am to 6:00pm at the Maple Branch.

If the weather is severe enough, the Y itself may open late or be closed. In those circumstances Snow Day Camp would not be offered.

Snow Day Camp is a drop-in program but the School-Age Registration Packet must be filled out and on file before a child can attend.
