Your child will continue to have fun, stay connected to their friends, and be active during school breaks and snow days at the Y. Activities include group games, arts and crafts, outdoor play, quiet reading, swimming, and more!

School Break Camps - Maple Branch

School Break camps are offered on most days that Kalamazoo Public Schools elementary schools are closed. Care is provided from 6:30am to 6:00pm at the Maple Branch.

Registration is open to elementary school-age children.

Please bring the following to camp each day:

  • Healthy morning snack and lunch (we will provide an afternoon snack)
  • Water bottle (no soda please)
  • Suit and towel for swimming
  • Appropriate outdoor wear

Pre-registration for school break camp is required and can be done by filling out the Registration Paperwork and returning it to the child care office within the Maple branch. Prime Time participants can also sign up at their Prime Time site.

Snow Days - Maple Branch

In the event of a snow day, care will be offered from 6:30am to 6:00pm at the Maple Branch.

If the weather is severe enough, the Y itself may open late or be closed. In those circumstances, Snow Day Camp would not be offered.

Snow Day Camp is a drop-in program but the School-Age Registration Packet must be filled out and on file before a child can attend.
