Throughout the month of February, we invited our Y members to participate in a satisfaction survey.
First, a big THANK YOU goes out to the more than 500 members who completed the surveys. We want to ensure your membership experience is the best it can be! As we have been working to compile the data and analyze your comments, here are a few things that stand out:
The YMCA has already taken steps to address a number of your most common suggestions. Here are just a few things you may have noticed in recent weeks:
- We have added two Silver Sneakers classes to the weekly exercise schedule and will be adding more soon.
- Additional swim lessons and water fitness classes are now available, with more to come this Spring.
- Resources have been committed to improving accessibility and aesthetics at both of our YMCA sites. This work will begin in the next 30 days.
- Beginning May 1, our Portage Y site will be open on Sundays 11:00am-3:00pm. We will continue to evaluate our hours of operation based on member demand and staffing availability.
Staff teams from each area of Y management (Aquatics, Facilities, Tennis, Wellness, etc.) are creating action steps to address more improvements and enhancements that were suggested in the survey results. While we can't respond to every question and suggestion individually, we want you to know that we appreciate all the feedback. We will keep you informed about new developments along the way.
