Give the Gift of a Y Experience

While FITMAS IN JULY brings a season of fun and silliness, it also shines a spotlight on something truly vital: the YMCA of Greater Kalamazoo's commitment to ensuring everyone in our community has access to a Y experience.

At the heart of our mission, we believe that every person in the community deserves a Y experience. This summer, will you help us uphold that belief by supporting the Y's Financial Assistance program?

Your Gift: A Lifeline to Our Community

Did you know that 1 out of every 3 members at our Maple and Portage Y's rely on financial assistance? In 2024 alone, the Y provided over $820,000 in aid, guaranteeing that no one was turned away due to an inability to pay. Last year, through campaigns like this one, we raised over $450,000, and we're constantly striving to bridge that gap so that

  • The teenager has a safe place to connect after school
  • The family is able to build stronger bonds and create lasting memories
  • The single parent finds support through critical Y programs for their children
  • The elderly individual can build a vibrant supportive community at the Y.
  • The cancer survivor has the tools and resources to rebuild strength and muscle mass and improved health.
