Kalamazoo, MI — The YMCA of Greater Kalamazoo is inviting the community to explore the sport of tennis with a series of free, one-hour introductory classes at its Maple Branch. These sessions are a perfect way for new players to try the sport and are open to children ages 6–10 and adults 18+.
Whether you've never picked up a racket or you're looking to get back on the court, these classes offer a fun and welcoming environment to learn the basics. The sessions are led by the Y's experienced tennis professionals, who are dedicated to helping everyone discover the enjoyment of the game.
"Tennis is a sport that can be enjoyed for a lifetime, and it's a great way to stay active and connect with others in the community," said Association Tennis Director Oak Saad. "We're excited to offer these free classes to give people a no-pressure opportunity to discover the game and see what our tennis program is all about."
The Y has a long history of tennis excellence, offering a full range of programs and instruction for all ages and skill levels, from recreational play to high-performance youth development and adult competitive play. These introductory sessions are a great entry point into the Y's comprehensive tennis offerings.
