Important Fall Maintenance at the Maple Y: Enhancing Your Experience!

At the Y, we are deeply committed to providing you with a safe, clean, and exceptional environment for your health and wellness journey. As part of this commitment, we will soon begin our annual fall maintenance at the Maple Y location. This essential work is primarily preventative, ensuring our facilities remain in top condition for years to come.

While our fall maintenance always includes crucial deep cleaning, especially in areas like the pool and adjoining locker rooms, this year we're pleased to announce an expanded scope of work. This comprehensive project represents a significant investment of $339,000 in improvements, and it will temporarily impact access to more parts of the facility. We understand that temporary disruptions can be inconvenient, but please know that this extensive maintenance is vital for the long-term quality and safety of your Y experience.

Why Now?

We've strategically scheduled this work for the end of summer, as it's the best time of year to conduct these extensive projects. By completing this now, we can ensure our facility is fully ready as we transition into one of our busiest seasons, allowing you to enjoy uninterrupted access when you need it most. Our Facilities team has been diligently working to coordinate with third-party contractors, and we have clear expectations for completion within the scheduled timeframe.

Please check the chart of scope of work included for details (scroll to bottom).

Keep Your Fitness Routine Moving!

While these areas are temporarily unavailable, we strongly encourage you to explore other fantastic areas of the Maple Y that you might not typically use. Discover a new class, try a different workout zone, or engage in an activity you haven't considered before! Additionally, remember that your membership grants you access to the Portage Y, which offers a wide array of programs and facilities. Check schedules here.

We truly appreciate your patience and understanding as we work diligently and with focus to complete these important upgrades. Our goal is always to provide you with the best possible Y experience.

Thank you for being a vital part of our Y community!
